Cookie Groups explained
Necessary technical cookies (Mandatory)
These cookies are a prerequisite for the functioning of the website, and they cannot be turned off. Without these cookies, the website will not function properly.
Functional cookies (Optional)

The platform uses Google Analytics 4 to collect statistics data on two levels. Firstly, there is the sitewide data collecting that is only accessible by the administrators in the University’s Center for Information Technology and covers the whole blogging platform including all of the subsites and pages.
The second level refers to the optional subsite specific data collecting that can activated by the subsite administrators within their blog (/example-subsite/). This data is only accessible by the administrator(s) of the specific subsite and it’s pages since its being forwarded from that subsite to the google account of the respective administrator(s) and uses a unique Measurement ID.
Within the EU, Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses, but it might collect Google signals data, granular data about the user’s location (City and its latitude and longitude), browser information, device information, operating system, platform, and screen resolution etc. You can read more about Google Analytics 4 EU-focused data and privacy here.
If you switch from one subsite to another while the statistics cookies are consented to, the setting will automatically continue to work covering the whole blogs.helsinki.fi platform including its subsites, until the consent is removed by the user or device. (This applies for other cookie groups as well).
Marketing cookies (Optional)
Marketing cookies make it possible to display on other websites advertisements that are of interest to you on the basis of your website visits.
